In recent years, the industry has witnessed an increase in the number of floating production and storage units, in the form of FPSO, FSU, and SPAR - these types of vessel may be on station for extended periods, without the periodical examinations in drydock to which ships are traditionally subjected, and therefore a rigid in-service inspection regime is required in order that potential defects are discovered at an early stage.
Inspection
of marine and offshore structures should be carried out by qualified and
competent personnel. A Adamson & Co have considerable experience in
structural steelwork inspection and repair on offshore barges, semi-submersible

detailed report with recommendations, through to supervision of remedial repairs
and final inspection and acceptance of same.
In
addition to structural steel surveys, we also undertake inspection, repair
supervision and commissioning of marine systems on board all types of offshore
unit.
